The practitioners at East Valley Internal Medicine provide comprehensive, primary adult health care services.
Internal Medicine – includes the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Our internists (internal medicine specialists) are skilled at treating routine illness and maintaining physical health. They also focus on complex multi-symptom diseases such as heart and vascular disease, endocrine disorders, digestive conditions, blood disorders, infectious diseases, kidney disease, cancer, and lung or respiratory conditions.
Pain Management – includes an interdisciplinary approach to helping people with acute or chronic pain live more comfortably. Since chronic pain affects approximately 25 percent of people in the United States[1], it is an important area of concentration for East Valley Internal Medicine. Our practitioners aim to help patients live well without codependency on pain management drugs.
Women’s Health – includes well-woman exams, contraception, menopause management, osteoporosis treatment, cancer screenings, nutrition, laboratory tests and more. Because women’s bodies change so much over the course of their lives, it is key to recognize the unique needs of their bodies. The practitioners at East Valley Internal Medicine care for general conditions in women as well as chronic illness management, internal medicine conditions, and stress management.
Men’s Health – includes preventative medicine, sexual health, screening for colon cancer, prostate cancer, and other cancers. In general, since men do not seek medical help as often as women, it is important to recognize how their lifestyles and genetics affect their health. The practitioners at East Valley Internal Medicine care for general conditions in men as well as chronic illness management, internal medicine conditions, and stress management.
Addiction Medicine – includes the treatment of addiction and addiction-related issues such as detoxification, rehabilitation, withdrawal-related symptoms, and reduction of relapse. While some practices focus solely on providing medications to combat addiction, the specialists at East Valley Internal Medicine may use medications to transition patients from addiction to recovery with the goal of helping patients live medication free.
Ancillary Services – includes laboratory testing, bone scanning, and ultrasound. For patient convenience, East Valley Internal Medicine offers these ancillary services directly in the offices. This means patients do not have to travel to a separate facility for these tests and practitioners can interpret and deliver the results to patients more quickly than using an outside testing facility.
